Lam Dong - The new administrative-political center must meet the criteria to be integrated into the provincial plan for the period 2021-2030, vision 2050.

On December 29, the Office of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that in the afternoon of December 30, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai will chair a meeting on researching and proposing the construction of a new administrative-political center of the province.

At the meeting, the Department of Construction will report on the progress of implementing the task of advising on the plan to build this center.

Previously, on November 14, 2025, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai signed a document assigning the Department of Construction to advise on contents related to the new Administrative - Political Center, based on the implementation of Resolution 01-NQ/DH (October 11, 2025) and Action Program 01-CTr/TU (October 23, 2025) of the Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and departments, branches, and localities to study and review planning and invest in building a new center.

The central location must have development potential, creating motivation for land funds, trade, services, tourism, high technology and expanding urban space.

At the same time, ensuring convenient traffic connections with economic, financial, scientific and technological centers and national transport routes.

The initial advisory task is required to be completed in November 2025. After this direction, public opinion in the province paid special attention, however, on December 4, the Department of Construction requested an extension due to the strategic content for Lam Dong after merging the three provinces of Binh Thuan - Lam Dong - Dak Nong.

The Department believes that more time is needed to survey and analyze options to choose optimal solutions and proposes to extend it until December 2025, and at the same time allow the selection of independent consulting units.

At the meeting on the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, vision 2050, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai continued to assign the Department of Construction to study and propose content related to the new Administrative - Political Center in January 2026, ensuring synchronization with technical infrastructure and social infrastructure to integrate into the Provincial Planning.
