Phu Yen - Authorities are searching for the vehicle that hit a man walking in the middle of National Highway 1, causing his death on the spot.

At noon on December 9, the leader of Tuy An Traffic Police Station (Phu Yen) said that the authorities are searching for a vehicle that hit and killed a man walking in the middle of National Highway 1 and then left the scene.

"The force has not yet identified the vehicle involved in the above accident. Through inspection, the man who was hit and killed on Highway 1 had a certificate of mental illness. The accident is still being clarified," he said.

According to initial information, at 4:20 a.m. the same day, at Km1276+720 on National Highway 1 through Xuan Yen ward (Song Cau town, Phu Yen), a man walking in the middle of the road was hit by a vehicle (unknown origin).

The strong collision caused the man to fall to the road and die on the spot, while the vehicle left the scene.

Through verification, the person who was hit and killed was Mr. Tran Van C (born in 1991, residing in Xuan Yen ward, Song Cau town).

Upon receiving the news, the authorities arrived at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
