At the meeting with news agencies and press on the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025, a representative of Dong Da District People's Committee informed that at 7:00 p.m. on January 18, Nguyen Van Tuyet culinary street will officially open, adding more space for entertainment and culinary enjoyment for the capital's residents and tourists.
Mr. Truong Minh Quang - Head of the Urban Management Department of Dong Da District (Hanoi) said that Nguyen Van Tuyet culinary street extends from the intersection of Tay Son Street to the intersection of Yen Lang Street; the street length is 840m, the width of the road and sidewalk is from 10-12m; the total usable area is 2.84ha.
The activities of Nguyen Van Tuyet culinary street will focus on developing existing business activities here. Operating hours are from 6pm to 12pm every Saturday and Sunday.
During this time, motor vehicles will be banned on Nguyen Van Tuyet food street to reserve space for pedestrians to enjoy food, cultural and artistic activities, etc.
Providing more information about the street's activities, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Vice Chairman of Dong Da District People's Committee said that restaurants and eateries have initially formed a culinary street. Therefore, the district will invest resources and rearrange the landscape to make the street civilized, modern and orderly.
Currently, more than 90% of business households on Nguyen Van Tuyet Street have been granted certificates of eligibility to ensure food safety and hygiene, only a few households have not been granted due to problems related to the Housing Law.
In particular, Nguyen Van Tuyet street will apply cashless payment as soon as it comes into operation.
Currently, in order to manage and operate the Nguyen Van Tuyet culinary street well, the Dong Da District People's Committee has assigned units to develop regulations and rules for management, operation, and participation in business services in the area... as a basis for the activities here to be maintained long-term, ensuring publicity and transparency.
Hanoi will have 3 culinary streets: Tong Duy Tan Street (Hoan Kiem District); Dao Ngoc - Ngu Xa (Ba Dinh District); Nguyen Van Tuyet Street (Dong Da).
