According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ninh province, the Director of this department has issued a decision to impose administrative sanctions on Hang Huy Labor Protection Products Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), headquartered in Hai Ha Industrial Park, Quang Ha commune, Quang Ninh province.
The Company has deployed the installation of 1 additional exhaust gas treatment system with a capacity of 70,000 m3/hour and 1 exhaust gas treatment system with a capacity of 40,000 m3/hour to treat exhaust gas from the glue dipping stage; and at the same time adjusted to increase the capacity of the RTO2 system from 72,000 m3/hour to 138,000 m3/hour before being granted an environmental permit according to regulations.
The above act violates the provisions of point c, clause 3, Article 14 of Decree No. 45/2022/ND-CP dated July 7, 2022 of the Government stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of environmental protection.
For the above act, the Company was administratively fined 320,000,000 VND.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Ninh province requests the Company to strictly comply with this sanctioning decision. If the Company does not voluntarily comply after the deadline, it will be subject to enforcement according to the provisions of law; at the same time, for each day of late payment of fines, violating individuals and organizations must pay an additional 0.05% calculated on the total amount of unpaid fines.
The Company has the right to complain or file an administrative lawsuit against this decision according to the provisions of law.
