On the morning of December 1, speaking with Lao Dong, the leader of Dong Hoa Town Police (Phu Yen) said that the search and rescue team had found the body of a victim in the case of a couple who went missing while fishing on the Da Nong River.

"At 1:10 a.m. this morning, the authorities found the body of the wife - Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh L (born in 1986, residing in Tuy Hoa City) and handed it over to her family for funeral arrangements. Currently, the authorities, local authorities and people are continuing to search for the whereabouts of the husband - Mr. Vo Van S (born in 1986, residing in Song Hinh District)," he said.

As reported, at around 12 noon on November 29, Mr. S and Ms. L rowed a boat to the Da Nong River to fish.

By the morning of November 30, the family had not been able to contact Mr. S and his wife, so they reported the search to the authorities. By noon of the same day, the authorities had found a piece of Mr. S and his wife's fishing net, but had not yet found the person.

It is known that Mr. S and his wife's family is very poor, with 4 children of school age. The couple is renting a room in Hoa Hiep Nam ward (Dong Hoa town), fishing for a living.
