Accordingly, at around 2:10 a.m., a passenger bus with license plate 43F-00776 driven by driver Le Ngoc Thanh (born in 1989, residing in Dong Quang Ward, Thanh Hoa Province) traveling from North to South on National Highway 1 when it reached Dong Trinh residential group, Song Tri Ward (old Ky Anh Town) lost control, crashed into a landmark and overturned on the side of the road, killing 9 people and injuring 15 others.
At the time of reporting, the identities of the 5 deceased were clear, including: Vu Thi Thoan (born in 1978, residing in Hac Thanh, Thanh Hoa province), Vu Thi Thuy (born in 1982, residing in Thanh Xuan ward, Hanoi), Nguyen Duc Tuan (born in 1977, residing in Luc Ngan, Bac Ninh), Bui Thi Hue (born in 1994, residing in Dong Van, Ninh Binh province), Do Phuong Thao (born in 2021, residing in Dong Van, Ninh Binh province). The remaining 4 deceased victims have unknown information.
Of the 15 injured, 1 was transferred to the emergency room, 14 people were treated at Ky Anh Town General Hospital). The identity of the injured is being updated.
After the accident, the authorities coordinated with local authorities to quickly organize rescue.
The authorities have also conducted an alcohol and drug test on the bus driver for negative results.
The cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified.
