According to the police, the total number of people on the boat was 49, including 46 passengers and 3 crew members. Previously, there was information that the total number of people on the ship was 48 (the list of people completing procedures to pass the port was also 48 passengers) and 5 crew members. Thus, with 35 bodies found, along with 10 people saved, there are currently 4 people missing.
At around 1:30 a.m. on July 20, after many efforts, the authorities capsized the QN 7105 tourist boat back to normal position.
However, the authorities only found 3 more bodies, including one body suspected to be captain Doan Van Trinh, in the area at the tail of the ship.
Nearly 1,000 people from the units and more than 100 vehicles participated in the search for the missing victims.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and leaders of Quang Ninh province directly directed at the scene.

By this morning, the authorities had completed procedures for 26 deaths so that the families could take their loved ones home for burial.
Regarding the incident of a tourist boat sinking in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh province has initially provided support to the families of the deceased victims with 25 million VND/person and the injured victims with 8 million VND/person.
On the night of July 19, provincial leaders and leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee visited and encouraged the victim who was being treated and resuscitated at the hospital.

The province has arranged accommodation and supported all food and accommodation expenses for the victim's family when in Quang Ninh.
The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee supported the families of the deceased victims with 5 million VND/person and the injured victims with 3 million VND/person.
Sharing the losses with the victims' families, some businesses in the province also supported the families of the deceased victims with 40 million VND/person and the injured victims with 25 million VND/person.
