On August 6, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province - chaired a working session with units and localities to direct the removal of some obstacles related to the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon component project of the North - South Expressway Construction Project in the East, phase 2021 - 2025.
The component project of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon section is 88km long, of which the section through Quang Ngai province is 60.3km long.
Up to now, the main items have been basically completed such as roadbed construction, tunnel 1 and tunnel 2.
Of the total 77 bridges on the route, 70 bridges have been installed with girders and are under construction. The project is entering the finishing stage.
To ensure progress, contractors have mobilized 3,450 engineers, workers and more than 1,400 machines and equipment. However, the general progress is still affected by some problems in compensation and site clearance at 7 locations under the overpass and intersection packages...
At the meeting, the authorities of the relevant communes said that they have actively coordinated with contractors and construction units to mobilize and explain to the people.
Many households have agreed and pledged not to hinder the construction work. In Nguyen Nghiem commune alone, the government has established 2 working groups to completely resolve the remaining problems. Up to now, 4/5 households with problems have received compensation and committed not to hinder the construction.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, the active coordination between departments, branches, localities and contractors in the past time.
At the same time, he emphasized that the remaining workload is currently very small, but he requested that the forces, commune authorities, investors, and contractors continue to promote a high spirit of solidarity and unity, join in speeding up the construction progress, and commit to opening the route no later than August 30.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of relevant communes and wards to clearly identify the common goal, consider this an important political task, focus resources, uphold the sense of responsibility, and be determined in directing and operating.
In addition, we must be close to the people, close to the people, strengthen propaganda and mobilization work so that people understand and share. At the same time, it is necessary to transparently publicize the plan, level of damage, compensation and have a specific commitment to the people to create consensus.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang requested that units report daily implementation progress to the Provincial People's Committee to promptly direct the removal of difficulties and obstacles when exceeding their authority.
