Sustainable increase of people's income
In recent years, the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Development in Ninh Binh province has achieved many outstanding results, changing the face of rural areas, contributing to improving people's lives and sustainable poverty reduction.
By the end of 2024, the average income per capita in Ninh Binh province is estimated at 72.59 million VND/person/year, of which rural areas will reach 69.68 million VND/person/year. Sustainable poverty reduction, especially in ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, coastal areas and islands. The poverty rate in Ninh Binh province decreased to 1.48%, the near-poor rate decreased to 1.9%.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) of Ninh Binh province - said that boosting production and increasing income for people is a difficult criterion to implement and is prone to fluctuations.
To increase people's income in a sustainable way, in recent times, Ninh Binh province has restructured the agricultural sector on the basis of effectively exploiting the local land and climate advantages and linking them to the market. Along with that, effectively implement programs to support production development, collective economic development, linkage in production and product consumption in a sustainable manner.
Currently, Ninh Binh province is synchronously implementing solutions to promote production development and increase people's income. Accelerate land accumulation, convert ineffective rice fields to other crops. Focus on directing production and restructuring the agricultural sector towards improving productivity, quality and efficiency. Strengthen mechanization and transfer science and technology to production to promote production development and increase people's income.

Over 99% of people are satisfied with the results of building new rural areas
After 14 years of implementing the NTM construction program, Ninh Binh province has now had 100% of districts and cities meet the standards and complete the task of building NTMs. Of which, 2 districts, Yen Khanh and Yen Mo, meet the advanced NTM standards according to the set of criteria for the period 2021-2025. The whole province has 76 communes meeting the advanced NTM standard and 11 communes are recognized as meeting the model NTM standard.
In particular, the satisfaction index of people and organizations with the services of state administrative agencies from 2018 to present has reached over 80%, higher than the national average. Through consultation, the satisfaction rate of local people with the results of building new rural areas reached 99.43%.
Mr. Tran Song Tung - Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee - said that up to now, Ninh Binh province has fully met 8/8 requirements of the Provincial Regulations on completing the task of building new rural areas in the period of 2021-2025 and other related conditions. Ninh Binh province is focusing on completing documents to request the Central Government to consider and recognize Ninh Binh province to complete the task of building a new rural area in 2024.
