Dong Nai - The project to build a road along the Cai River, from Ha Huy Giap Street to Tran Quoc Toan Street (Bien Hoa City) will build 5 new bridges, with a total investment of nearly 574 billion VND.

The Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is proposing that the Bien Hoa City Land Fund Development Center hand over the site for the Cai River Road Construction Project, from Ha Huy Giap Street to Tran Quoc Toan Street (Bien Hoa City).

This project has a total length of nearly 4.6km and has renovated 5 bridges on the route with a bridge width of 22.7m.

The total investment is nearly 574 billion VND, of which the construction cost is 473.5 billion VND from the provincial budget.

The maximum implementation period is 6 years from the date of capital allocation for project implementation.

The project progress by the end of 2024 has reached 38% of the contractors who have implemented the cumulative construction of "Construction package No. 10 - Bridge and access road at both ends of the bridge (including 5 bridges: Ba Bot,him Tau, Rach Gio, Suoi Linh, Tan Mai)".

Up to now, the progress of construction package 10 has reached 47%.

On March 25, according to the Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project is currently facing many difficulties and problems such as: District 1 construction site for the starting road of Rach Gio Bridge, pier M1 and 2 approach roads of Ba Bot Bridge; District 2 construction site has not been handed over, so there are not enough conditions to implement the selection of construction contractors.

The Dong Nai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board recommends that the Bien Hoa City Land Fund Development Center prioritize the completion of site clearance compensation and handover of site clearance at locations: 1/2 abutment M2 of Rach Gio Bridge and abutment M1 and 2 access roads of Ba Bot Bridge;

Hand over the site of the road along the Cai River about 100m long, adjacent to the bridgehead of the bridges on the route;

Hand over the site from Ba Bot Bridge to the intersection with Tran Quoc Toan Street, 1.3 km long (Km3+300 to Km4+602) and the site for the route in the second quarter of 2025 to organize the selection of contractors for the remaining construction packages in the third quarter of 2025.

Previously, Notice No. 12/TB-UBND dated January 14, 2025 of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province assigned the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to work with the People's Committee of Bien Hoa city to review the site clearance progress to prepare procedures to ensure conditions for starting the construction of the project's road section according to regulations in the first quarter of 2025.

The Cai River Road Construction Project is a key project of Dong Nai province, expected to create a new traffic axis in the central area of Bien Hoa City and improve the urban landscape along the river.

The Cai River Road Construction Project from Ha Huy Giap Street to Tran Quoc Toan Street, Bien Hoa City has a total reclaimed area of 29.3 hectares with about 700 households and organizations affected. Of which, Quyet Thang ward has 1 case, Thong Nhat ward has 243 cases, Tan Mai ward has 164 cases, Tam Hiep ward has 139 cases and An Binh ward has 153 cases. It is known that there are about 563 households and individuals with cleared land.
