Information from the North - South Expressway Project Management Board, Bai Vot - Ham Nghi section, said that the accident occurred at around 1:00 p.m. on April 4 through Kim Song Truong commune, causing a complete traffic jam on the North - South expressway (with 2 lanes).
The cause of the traffic jam was that the tractor-trailer with license plate 90C - 035.xx pulling a trailer with license plate 90R - 007.xx was lying across the road.
"After the accident, the authorities promptly arrived to clear the scene, and the road is now open to traffic. The cause of the accident may be due to a tire explosion," said a leader of the North-South Expressway Project Management Board, Bai Vot - Ham Nghi section.
The cause of the accident is currently being investigated and clarified.
