The road project from My Lam Mineral Spring Tourist Area to National Highway 2D connecting to Tuyen Quang – Phu Tho Expressway is 8.9 km long with a total investment of over 487 billion VND. This is a newly opened road, designed to urban standards.
The project, invested by the Department of Transport of Tuyen Quang province, started construction at the end of 2021. It is expected to be completed and put into use in early 2025.
Recorded on October 18, after nearly 3 years of implementation, most of the entire length of the route has been formed. At locations where the roadbed has been handed over, construction is underway.
Along the entire route, about 4 km of roadbed construction and first layer of asphalt concrete have been completed. Lighting, sidewalks, drainage ditches and underground sewer systems through residential areas continue to be completed.
Due to the length of the newly opened route and the fact that it mainly passes through fields, hills and mountains with complex geological conditions, the construction has to be extended. Currently, some rocky mountain locations are still undergoing blasting and rock breaking to create a flat surface.
Mr. La Van Khoa, Nhu Han commune (Yen Son district) is one of the first households to hand over the land for project construction. Up to now, the family is building a new house not far from the old place.
"The compensation policy is reasonable, so my family agreed immediately. With this route, traveling is more convenient. Hopefully, the economy will develop and people's lives will become better," said Mr. Khoa.
According to the investor, to implement the project, 209 households and individuals had their land reclaimed with a total reclaimed area of 20.1 hectares. Up to now, the inventory of land area and assets on land has been completed, there are currently 14 households in Tuyen Quang City with 0.6 hectares that have not been cleared.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuong - Chairman of Yen Son District People's Committee said that the project passes through the area with a length of more than 3 km. The site clearance work was completed at the end of February 2024.
"The route is expected to promote economic development, especially the My Lam mineral spring tourist area, so it has received unanimous support from the people. Up to now, households whose land was recovered are gradually stabilizing their lives," Mr. Phuong informed.
