Trucks collide head-on on highway, 2 people dead

    Authorities are investigating the cause of a car accident on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway that left two people dead.

    On the afternoon of December 4, information from the commander of Team 1 (Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security), at 1:25 p.m., at Km189+100, on the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway, a traffic accident occurred, killing 2 people.

    Accordingly, at the time of the accident, truck with license plate 29H-790.33 was traveling in the direction of Lao Cai - Noi Bai when it reached the above route and crashed into truck with license plate 21H-008.54 traveling in the opposite direction.

    After the accident, Operation Team No. 1 (VECS) approached the scene, coordinated to ensure traffic safety, and requested vehicles to move slowly in the emergency lane.

    The cause of the accident is being investigated by authorities.

    It is known that at the location of the accident, the traffic safety system is complete, the road surface is normal, and traffic is limited to 2 lanes.
