Hearse crashes into series of vehicles stopped at red light, killing 1 person

Nghe An – A crowd of people waiting at a red light were suddenly hit by a hearse, killing one person and injuring two others.

On the afternoon of January 18, information from the People's Committee of Do Luong district said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area, killing 1 person and injuring 2 others.

Accordingly, at around 10:00 a.m. on January 18, a funeral car was traveling on National Highway 7 from Do Luong bus station to Do Luong bridge.

When the car reached the intersection with National Highway 15 (in Do Luong town, Do Luong district), it suddenly crashed into vehicles stopped at a red light ahead.

The accident caused Mr. N.T.D (18 years old, residing in Trung Son commune, Do Luong district) to die on the spot; Mr. D’s fiancee (who was also riding on the motorbike) was trapped under the hearse and seriously injured, and was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment; in addition, another person riding the electric motorbike was also injured.

Immediately after receiving the news, the authorities quickly arrived to direct traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.
