According to information from Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 - Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police, in the past month, the unit has handled 35 cases of driving other vehicles, carrying bulky goods, with estimated fines of 236 million VND.
The above behavior is considered very dangerous, posing a high risk of causing traffic accidents.
For example, at around 4:00 p.m. on May 9, the Working Group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 discovered a vehicle towing a homemade vehicle to transport steel, in the area in front of house number 160 Cau Dien Street (Minh Khai Ward, Bac Tu Liem District).

Through inspection, the driver was T.H.H (born in 1979, from Tuyen Quang), the steel package was stretched about 11.7m long and weighed more than 600kg.
Working with the authorities, driver T.H.H said that he transported about 10 shipments like this from the store to deliver to customers every day. At the same time, this person "complained" that, apart from using homemade vehicles to pull like above, there was no other way.
"Hanoi has many small alleys so cars cannot get close to the project, forcing us to use this method. The travel time is only within 1-2km," said driver T.H.H.
For the above violation, the driver was fined 700,000 VND and had the vehicle impounded for 7 days. At the same time, the police also forced the driver and vehicle owner to dismantle the goods and homemade vehicles.

"It is clear that dragging other vehicles and carrying steel like that makes it very difficult for motorbike drivers to brake. Especially, when traveling on the road or in a small alley, it is easy to collide with others," said a representative of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6.
In the coming time, the Hanoi Traffic Police will continue to increase patrols, control, and strictly handle the above violations.
