On July 19, speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huy Thanh - Head of the Traffic Police Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police said: "After the press reported the incident of Thanh Cong Concrete Company's vehicles blocking the road, causing traffic insecurity, the unit took action."
"We have asked the enterprise to bring concrete dump trucks and tankers to the authorities' headquarters for settlement. The driver of the vehicle stopped or parked on the road in violation of regulations.
The Traffic Police will base on the violation to have a suitable handling plan in accordance with current regulations," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huy Thanh added.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on the morning of July 18, on Y Bih Aleo Street (Buon Ma Thuot Ward, Dak Lak Province), concrete dumped vehicles and tankers carelessly blocked the road, obstructing traffic.
According to records, Y Bih Aleo Street is a road with quite a lot of traffic. Because the road was blocked, cars had to turn around and not dare to go straight. Motorbikes have to squeeze under the concrete pouring foot to move.
According to observations, the concrete pouring unit did not take any measures to ensure traffic safety such as placing signs or sending staff to regulate and warn.
The two vehicles blocking the concrete pouring road belong to Thanh Cong Concrete Company. This activity has been taking place many times for about a month now. However, the authorities have not yet taken action.
