On November 15, the Madaguoi Traffic Police Station under the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province Police said that the unit had drawn up a violation report against a truck driver who recklessly overtook.
The consequence of this reckless overtaking was that the driver of the vehicle on the opposite side had to plunge into the ditch.
The person who was fined for administrative violation is Mr. T (28 years old), residing in Duc Trong district, Lam Dong.
Previously, at 9:45 a.m. on November 12, Mr. T drove a truck with license plate 49H-021xx on National Highway 20, in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat. When reaching Bao Loc Pass, Mr. T illegally overtook the truck when there were vehicles on the opposite side.
Faced with the above situation, a dump truck driver driving down Bao Loc pass in the opposite direction had to rush into a drainage ditch to avoid a traffic collision.
The entire act of Mr. T driving the truck in the wrong lane was recorded by the dash cam of another vehicle and provided to the traffic police for verification and handling according to regulations.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Traffic Police of Madaguoi Station quickly verified, invited Mr. T to work and made a record of administrative violations.
During the investigation, driver T admitted his wrongdoings. The traffic police asked driver T to sign a commitment not to re-offend.
Authorities determined that Mr. T drove the truck without obeying the road markings, endangering vehicles traveling in the opposite direction.
According to Madaguoi Traffic Police Station, recently, the unit has received a lot of information and images provided by people about reckless driving and traffic safety violations on Bao Loc Pass.
All received cases are verified and promptly handled by the Traffic Police according to regulations.
