A restaurant in Hue was fined for trading in wild animals

    HUE - Through inspection, authorities in Hue discovered and punished a restaurant for trading in wild animals.

    On December 9, the Forest Protection Department of Thua Thien Hue province said that it had just coordinated with relevant units to handle a restaurant in Hue city for illegally trading in wild animals.

    Previously, the Inspection and Legal Department of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Forest Protection Department coordinated with the Hue City Forest Protection Department and Hue City Police to inspect the BX restaurant in Vy Da ward (Hue city).

    At the time of inspection, the inspection team discovered two dead male silver cheeked ferrets (scientific name: Melogale personata) hidden in the restaurant's freezer. These two male silver cheeked ferrets weighed 2.3 kg and the restaurant owner had no legal origin.

    The inspection team has drawn up a record of violations against the owner of B.X restaurant to handle the illegal trading of forest products (wild animals).
