The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has just sent a document responding to Project Management Board 7 (PMU, investor) on the content of quality control and construction progress of the Van Phong - Nha Trang section component project of the North - South Eastern Expressway Construction Project in the 2021-2025 period.
This is the latest information on the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway project after the consortium of contractors including Son Hai Group Co., Ltd., Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation - Vinaconex, and LIZEN Joint Stock Company proposed to put into operation 68.35km, connecting from Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway before January 10, 2025.
According to initial progress, the project will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2025.
The Ministry of Transport requires Project Management Board 7 to review and thoroughly handle local items with some remaining problems and defects that have been pointed out by the State Inspection Council through field inspections, so as not to affect the quality of the project; control the origin of materials, supplies, and technical instructions of the project, especially in asphalt concrete paving work to ensure quality, flatness, and allowable errors...
For items with high technical and aesthetic requirements such as bridgehead roads, expansion joints, railings, median strips, etc., the investor needs to direct consultants to inspect, review and immediately handle locations that do not meet requirements.
Project Management Board 7 proactively coordinates with local authorities to complete all site clearance work, especially for the rest stop, and hand it over to the project before December 31, 2024, without affecting the construction progress.
Currently, the contractor consortium is ahead of schedule. The contractor consortium affirms that it will complete the entire project of the 68.35km long route.
To put the project into operation soon, promote investment efficiency and especially serve people's travel needs during the Lunar New Year, the contractor consortium has requested the Ministry of Transport and Project Management Board 7 to have a plan and direct relevant units to complete the necessary procedures.
