The world's largest supercar journey Gumball 3000 will officially begin in Ho Chi Minh City from September 14. It is estimated that about 100 supercars will participate in this event.
Among them, there were 2 Maserati MC20 convertibles. These two supercars are blue and white. The white car in particular has 2 blue stripes on the hood, as well as the headlights are “dyed yellow”.
In Vietnam, there is also a convertible supercar Maserati MC20 Cielo.
Cielo means sky in Italian, this model has a very special roof when equipped with an electric glass roof, instead of the usual hardtop. This allows the car to instantly switch from transparent glass to dark glass with just a push of a button on the center screen.
This feature is equipped with Polymer Liquid Crystal Diffusion (PDLC) technology. The time to open or close the roof also takes only 12 seconds. Compared to the coupe, the Maserati MC20 Cielo weighs 65 kg more.
The Maserati MC20 has a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine. This engine helps the car produce a maximum capacity of 621 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 730 Nm at 3,000 rpm.
The Maserati MC20 Cielo's engine will be combined with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a rear-wheel drive system that applies some technology from Formula racing cars. This technology helps the Maserati MC20 convertible supercar accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2.9 seconds. The car can reach a maximum speed of 325 km/h.
