Based on the E-GMP platform, the Ioniq 9 shares many features with the Kia EV9, but is tailored specifically for the family SUV market with three configurations: Long Range RWD, Long Range AWD and Performance.
All versions of the Ioniq 9 use a 110.3 kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing the car to travel long distances. The Long Range RWD version is equipped with a single electric motor on the rear axle, producing 214 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. This model can travel up to 620 km on a full charge.
The Long Range AWD adds a 94-horsepower motor to the front axle, bringing the total output to 308 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the Ioniq 9 Performance features a pair of 214-horsepower electric motors at both the front and rear axles, for a total output of 429 horsepower, helping the car reach 62 mph in just 5.2 seconds. The Long Range AWD and RWD versions achieve acceleration times of 6.7 and 9.4 seconds, respectively. All versions reach a top speed of 124 mph.
In terms of charging capabilities, the Ioniq 9 supports 350 kW fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10-80% in just 24 minutes. The car is equipped with 19, 20 and 21 inch wheels, with a variety of exterior color options up to 16 colors.
The Ioniq 9's interior is spacious with a wheelbase of up to 3,130 mm. The cabin uses environmentally friendly materials. The car is available in 6- or 7-seat configurations, with the second row of seats being able to swivel. Standard equipment includes a 12-inch curved screen for the instrument cluster and infotainment screen, along with an 8-speaker sound system (14 Bose speakers optional).
In terms of safety, the Ioniq 9 is equipped with advanced driving assistance systems such as forward collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, and safe exit warning, along with 10 airbags, providing a high level of safety for users.
