Volvo Car Vietnam has launched the first pure electric car model in the Vietnamese market - Volvo EC40.

The Volvo EC40 is equipped with a Twin Motor electric engine, with a maximum capacity of 408 horsepower and a maximum torque of up to 670 Nm. The car can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds, providing a powerful driving feeling and instant response.

The EC40 uses an all-wheel drive system (eAWD), combined with a 78 kWh lithium-ion battery, allowing the vehicle to travel up to 510km according to WLTP testing standards after each full charge.

The EC40's charging system supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW, allowing for a 0-80% charge in 33 minutes. 3-phase AC charging (16A) will take around 8 hours to reach 100%. However, Volvo recommends charging only up to 90% to prolong battery life.

In terms of amenities, the Volvo EC40 is equipped with a 9.7-inch central touch screen with integrated Apple CarPlay, 2-zone air conditioning, Microtech leather seats with electric adjustment and position memory, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and Topography interior trim with ambient lighting. The 13-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, 600W capacity, brings a vivid sound experience.
