Images recording a fleet of cars including luxury sedans, SUVs, MPVs and sports cars parked in front of a house in Phu My Hung urban area (HCMC) attracted the attention of car enthusiasts. According to research, these vehicles are owned by a businessman living in the area.
The most prominent in the car lineup is the Aston Martin Rapide, which is personalized in AMR (Aston Martin Racing) style. This is a version inspired by the limited Rapide AMR model introduced by the British automaker in 2018 with a production volume of only 210 units worldwide.
Compared to the standard Rapide, the car possesses many sporty exterior details such as a redesigned front bumper, round auxiliary lights, a new grille and Stirling Green paint combined with Lime stripes typical of the high-performance Aston Martin line.
Rapide is Aston Martin's first 4-door sedan, produced in the period 2010-2020. This car line was developed to combine the comfort of a luxury sedan with the operating capabilities of a sports car.
The car model appearing in Ho Chi Minh City is equipped with a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing a maximum power of 470 horsepower and a maximum torque of 601 Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear axle through a 6-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission, helping the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 5.1 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 303 km/h.
Besides Aston Martin Rapide, the car lineup also includes a Honda Civic Coupe - a two-door car that is quite rare in the Vietnamese market, along with many other luxury car lines of famous brands.
The simultaneous appearance of many high-value car models in the same space shows the diverse collection and use trend of a part of car enthusiasts in Ho Chi Minh City, from luxury sedans, family SUVs to high-performance sports cars.
