Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security said that in the period from 12:00 on February 5 to 12:00 on February 6, 2026, the artificial intelligence (AI) application camera system operated by this unit recorded many cases of traffic order and safety violations in Hanoi and the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway.
Accordingly, at km20 of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, the AI camera system recorded 12,825 vehicles passing by at an average speed of 75km/h.
Through data analysis, the system detected 8 cases of not fastening the seat belt; 1 case of speeding violation. Violations have been notified to vehicle owners for handling according to regulations.
In the inner city of Hanoi, the AI camera system piloted installed at the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection (Cau Giay ward) automatically detected 29 cases of not wearing helmets; 20 cases of not complying with traffic light signals (motorbikes, motorcycles); 1 case of going against traffic.
AI cameras on Le Van Luong street recorded 2 cases of going in the wrong lane.
All violations have been transferred to the Hanoi City Police and functional units to implement the handling process in accordance with legal regulations.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that people strictly comply with traffic laws, contributing to ensuring safety for themselves and the community when participating in traffic.
