According to information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security, from 12:00 on December 7 to 12:00 on December 8, 2025, the AI camera system located at many locations in Hanoi and the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway has recorded a large number of vehicles in circulation, and discovered many violations of traffic safety and order.
Accordingly, during the above period, the AI camera pilot system at the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quoc Viet intersection (Hanoi) automatically recorded 51 cases of not wearing helmets and 97 cases of not obeying traffic light signals (running red lights). The camera has not recorded any cases of going in the wrong direction in this area.
In addition, AI cameras installed on Le Van Luong Street recorded 3 cases of driving in the wrong lane.
All data and violations have been transferred to the Hanoi City Police and functional units to carry out the handling process according to regulations.
At km20 of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, the AI camera recorded 22,056 vehicles passing through, with an average speed of 72km/h.
Through smart identification, the system detected 3 cases of no seat belts. These violations have been notified to the vehicle owner for handling according to regulations.
The application of artificial intelligence in traffic monitoring continues to show initial effectiveness in detecting violations, supporting authorities to maintain traffic order in the area.
