Communes that have not been classified for vehicle registration in Dien Bien Dong, Muong Ang, Tuan Giao, Tua Chua, Muong Cha districts, must submit their documents to Dien Bien Dong Town Police, Muong Ang Town, Tuan Giao Town, Tua Chua Town, Muong Cha Town (old District Police headquarters).
Communes and wards of Muong Lay Town, submit documents to Na Lay Ward Police (old Town Police). Communes in Nam Po district, submit documents to Na Hy commune police (old district police). Communes in Muong Nhe district, submit documents to Muong Nhe commune police (old district police).
According to the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, driving licenses issued before the effective date of the Law (1.1.2025) will continue to be used for the period stated on the driving license. Thus, before 2025, the driving license can continue to be used according to the above deadline without having to retake the exam.
