The highlight of the Gumball 3000 event series in Ho Chi Minh City is the opening ceremony of Gumball Grid on the morning of September 14 at Le Loi Boulevard (Ho Chi Minh City).
This place will gather about 100 supercars, many of which are unique and rare in the world.
The owners of the participating cars are prominent and influential names from more than 40 countries and territories - from music stars, famous artists, royals, sports stars, gamers, YouTubers, businessmen and many influential people such as Maximillion Cooper (founder of the British Gumball 3000 event), supercar YouTuber James Walker.
Many names familiar to the Vietnamese public such as Manchester United and French football legend Patrice Evra will also appear with the super luxury Rolls Royce Cullinan.
The Gumball Grid activity is held free of charge for Vietnamese fans throughout September 14, 2024. Next, Gumball 3000 will have an intimate 25th anniversary celebration and charity fundraiser (organized exclusively for Gumball journey members) in the grounds of the Reunification Hall - Independence Palace.
In addition, Gumball 3000 also sent its deepest sympathy and condolences to the people affected by the natural disasters taking place in Northern Vietnam, and said that it will organize a fundraising campaign (for Gumball 3000 members and those interested in the journey around the world) to support Vietnam in its relief efforts and overcoming the consequences of storms and floods.
To adapt to the current situation, Gumball 3000 will have adjustments in scale and activities during the event, responding to the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
On the morning of September 15, the Gumball 3000 - Saigon to Singapore journey officially began after the flag-raising ceremony, entering the first leg from Le Loi Boulevard to explore Cu Chi Tunnels.
On the same day, the group moved to Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and continued on the next routes to Angkor Wat (Cambodia) - Bangkok, Krabi (Thailand) - Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and ended the journey in Singapore on September 21.
