A highlight of the Sportage inspired by the Kia EV9 is the Starmap lighting system. This design not only upgrades the appearance of the Sportage but also improves visibility and safety. The star-shaped motifs make the Sportage easier to identify for other drivers.
The company also equips the Sportage model with a new 3-screen entertainment system, inspired by the interior of the EV9 and EV3. This system promises to bring a user-friendly interface, adding the ability to integrate navigation, entertainment systems and vehicle options.
According to the company, the upgraded Sportage model will have improvements in engine technology. Customers can choose a hybrid or pure electric engine. Sportage's safety equipment includes: Advanced collision avoidance system; adaptive cruise control system.
The Kia Sportage model in the Vietnamese market is from 2022, with 8 versions for customers to choose from. The starting price is 779 million VND for the standard 2.0 Luxury version and the highest is 999 million VND for the 1.6 Turbo Signature AWD version.
In September 2024, 409 Sportages were sold, although it increased compared to August, but only ranked 5th out of 6 cars in the same C-size crossover segment. The upgraded Kia Sportage model is expected to be sold in Korea in November 2024, the selling price has not been announced yet.
