The GT-R R35 is a generation developed and produced by Nissan from 2007 until the line was discontinued in 2025.
The GT-R R35 was built as the successor to the Skyline GT-R but is no longer part of the Skyline line. The vehicle uses a 2+2 seat configuration, a front- mid-mounted engine and a full-time four-wheel drive system. The entire body structure of the vehicle combines steel, aluminum and carbon fiber to increase torsion and reduce weight.
This model is developed on the PM platform - an upgraded version from the FM platform used for the Skyline and Nissan Z. The GT-R R35 is equipped with a twin-turbocharged VR38DETT engine, a dual-clutch transmission and the ATTESA E-TS Pro drive system. This is also one of the first commercial vehicles to apply launch control and independent four-wheel drive arranged at the rear.
The GT-R R35 is a key project in Nissan's recovery plan in the early 2000s. After 7 years of testing and development, the commercial version was first launched at the Tokyo Auto Show 2007. The entire production process is carried out at the Tochigi factory, Japan.
In 18 years, Nissan has shipped nearly 48,000 GT-R R35s with many different paint colors. In Vietnam, cars have appeared in red, blue, gray, black and now there is a rare white one.
