In response to the increasing demand for driving licenses from the people of the capital, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police has launched a peak period, mobilizing maximum resources to meet practical requirements.
According to the plan to increase the number of tests and driver's licenses issued to people, each day, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department will organize 5-7 exam councils.
In particular, each council meets about 250 - 350 students taking the car driving test and 300 - 500 students taking the motorbike test, equivalent to 2,000 - 3,000 students per day.
However, when establishing exam councils, the authorities encountered difficulties because many training institutions did not have enough minimum number of students as planned.
Some councils only have less than 200 students registered for the exam, quite low compared to the expectations and existing organizing capacity.
"We can test 300 to 400 students per day, all preparations are complete according to regulations", Ms. Ta Thanh Phuong - Director of the Driving Test Center of Automobile Transport Joint Stock Company No. 2 (Hanoi) informed.

However, Ms. Phuong said that the center is currently having difficulty in making a list in large quantities. The reason for the above situation is partly due to many students not being mentally ready to take the exam, not having studied carefully, so they asked to postpone the schedule...
Mr. Tran Quang Huy - Director of Thai An Driving Training Center said that after being informed of the exam plan, this unit proactively made a list and called each student.
"But some people say the newspaper cannot be present according to the schedule, others suggest postponing the schedule for further review, causing the list of candidates to not be as large as desired," Mr. Huy shared.
In addition, it also noted the waiting and " listening" mentality of a number of students when the testing work was transferred from the Ministry of Transport to the Ministry of Public Security.

Sharing with PV, Mr. Trung Nguyen (Ba Dinh ward, Hanoi) said that he previously planned to register for the exam in the last phases of July 2025. However, he later decided to postpone it to August 2025 to have time to review his knowledge.
Mr. Nguyen admitted that when he knew that the failure rate in recent exams was quite high, he was not confident in his current driving knowledge and skills.
"It's been a long time since I finished my studies, I want to postpone the exam schedule for a few more weeks to have time to review both theory and practice, how to get the best exam results," Mr. Nguyen shared.
From this reality, the centers have quickly come up with solutions. Mr. Tran Quang Huy - Director of Thai An Driving Training Center said that this unit has requested teachers to increase supplementation, support review for qualified students, and limit backlogs because candidates are afraid of taking early exams.
On the side of the Traffic Police Department, to facilitate training facilities, testing centers and candidates, the unit has publicly announced a weekly testing schedule, clearly stating the time and type of testing.
The announcement of the schedule helps units proactively register and submit a list of students eligible to take the exam on schedule, while ensuring that the capacity to organize the exam is exploited effectively, avoiding wasting resources.
