According to CarNewsChina, BYD has announced that the YangWang U9 model will complete the race daytime using God's Eye A driver assistance software. BYD then continued to affirm that this is not the limit of the software and said that U9 can complete the race at night without a driver.
BYD has just introduced God's Eye technology, a software that competes with Tesla's Autopilot driver assistance technology. This driver assistance system is called the Smart Driving System, and is actually an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). BYD revealed that there will be 3 versions of ADAS: God's Eye A (also known as DiPilot 600); God's Eye B (DiPilot 300); God's Eye C (DiPilot 100).
The company also said that all of its vehicles can be equipped with this system. Even the BYD Seagull hatchback priced at 69,800 yuan (about 242 million) will receive the basic God's Eye C driving assistance system.
God's Eye C is a low-end ADAS, mainly using solutions based on cameras, milimet wave radar and ultrasound radar. The maximum calculated capacity is 100 TOPS. God's Eye B will be upgraded and supported with a lidar with a maximum processing capacity of 300 TOPS.
God's Eye A is BYD's most advanced driving assistance system with a maximum computing power of 600 TOPS and maximum support of 3 lidar. This is a system equipped on the YangWang U9 model and has been tested for automatic driving on the track in Hunan (China).
All 21 BYD models, including Dynasty and Ocean models and its subsidiaries such as Denza and YangWang, will be equipped with ADAS God's Eye. Driving assistance will be free for all models.
