We are capable of opening multiple source codes (in the PV electric car operating system), just like Android is doing with smartphones. If Tesla does this, it will directly compete with Google, which develops smart control software for cars based on the Android platform, said billionaire Elon Musk.
The two leading US automakers, Tesla and Ford, have reached an important deal. Under the deal, customers who own Ford electric vehicles will be given the right to use Tesla's charging stations in the US and Canada. In return, Ford will integrate a Tesla charging port on its next-generation electric cars, starting in 2025, according to Techcrunch.
Ford's electric car sales in the US are quite modest, reaching only 61,575 units in 2022. At the same time, billionaire Elon Musk's pure electric car company has served 1.3 million customers worldwide.
Previously, Google developed car control software called Automotive OS based on the Android platform. Apple also has a similar product called CarPlay available on many current car products.
