On December 10, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Garbage is everywhere, surrounding a hazardous waste storage facility in Nam Dinh", reflecting on the area near the cemetery of Van Chang village (Nam Giang town, Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province) where garbage is everywhere on both sides of the road, causing environmental pollution.
According to the leader of Nam Giang Town People's Committee, on the road near Van Chang village cemetery, there is a hazardous waste storage house in Van Chang craft village, so many people have dumped their garbage in this area. The local government has hired excavators to clean up both sides of the road and put up "no dumping" signs many times, but the situation still recurs. Previously, in 2017, this storage house was upgraded, repaired and is still being used for people to dump hazardous waste.

Immediately after receiving information reflecting on spontaneous garbage dumps surrounding the hazardous waste storage house of Van Chang craft village from Lao Dong Newspaper, the leaders of Nam Truc District People's Committee directed and requested to handle and clean up the above area.
On December 16, Mr. Cao Xuan Nghi - Chairman of Nam Giang Town People's Committee said: "Up to now, the spontaneous landfills near the hazardous waste storage house of Van Chang craft village have been cleaned up. After Lao Dong Newspaper reported, we mobilized many excavators, 5 trucks and people of group 17 to unify and implement the treatment. At the same time, we propagated to people to coordinate with the authorities to monitor and detect illegal dumping subjects, and mobilized people to dump garbage in the right place."
