On October 17, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article titled "Abandoned schools become pig farms in Nam Dinh". The article reflects on the fact that many schools and village cultural houses in Phuong Dinh commune (Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province) have been abandoned, overgrown with grass, and have even turned into pig farms.
According to local people, Phuong Dinh Secondary School was formerly a warehouse of the old Phuong Tan Cooperative that was converted into a school, located on the main road of Phuong Dinh Commune, near Phuong Dinh Primary School. For many years, this school has been abandoned, overgrown with grass and dirty. The buildings here are seriously degraded, the inside has turned into a place to raise pigs.

Based on the information reflected by Lao Dong Newspaper, on October 21, 2024, the Office of the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 1579-CV/VPTU on the direction of the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Secretary to assign the Standing Committee of the Truc Ninh District Party Committee to conduct an inspection and report on the reflection of Lao Dong Newspaper on the situation of waste of public land, abandonment for many years, and seriously degraded works at the Cooperative and Phuong Dinh Secondary School.
The Secretary of Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee assigned the Standing Committee of Truc Ninh District Party Committee to promptly implement and report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee before November 7, 2024.
Previously, immediately after receiving the feedback from Lao Dong Newspaper, Truc Ninh District People's Committee requested Phuong Dinh Commune People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with inspection departments to review the above-mentioned abandoned area.
