Regarding the fact that in the past month, people in Ninh Binh have been rushing to change their driver's licenses, causing congestion and overload at the document reception point, on December 26, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Ninh Binh Department of Transport said that the number of people coming to the province's Public Administration Service Center to do procedures to change their driver's licenses has increased compared to before.
The main reason is that people change their old A1 class driver's license (paper version) to PET card.
"For class A1 driver's licenses, which are valid indefinitely and are still intact, many people still go to the provincial Public Administration Service Center to apply for a new license. This is unnecessary because the old driver's license is still valid. Many people are confused because they do not have a clear understanding of the information and go to apply for a new license, causing the application receiving department to be overloaded," said a representative of the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Transport.
To meet the demand for issuing and renewing driving licenses and improve people's satisfaction, the Department of Transport of Ninh Binh province has increased staff at the province's Public Administration Service Center.
"Currently, for car driving licenses, we have an online registration system for driver's license renewal procedures. People can register online without having to go to the Public Administration Service Center, which is both time-consuming for people and overloads the application receiving department," said a representative of the Ninh Binh Province Department of Transport.
Previously, on December 25, the Lao Dong Electronic Newspaper published an article "Ninh Binh people rush to change their driving licenses", reflecting the situation of people in Ninh Binh rushing to change their driving licenses, causing the file receiving department of the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Transport to be congested and overloaded.
In particular, there are many cases where car driving licenses are still valid and A1 motorbike driving licenses are valid indefinitely and intact, but people still come to register to change or reissue them.
