In Hue, many parents discovered that the milk they used to give their children was on the list of fake milk. A social media user shared: Prof. Dr. B.S. told my child to drink it. I see this milk on the list of fake milk, along with a picture of Bold Milk milk.
Another mother said: My child had a cough at 6 months old, went to the doctor and the doctor said he had diarrhea and gave him Bold Milk. After eating out a can, the child had a stomachache for a whole week. When I switch to regular milk, my diarrhea will be gone.
Ms. T.T (residing in Duong Doan Ward, Hue City) said that nearly 2 years ago, she took her child to the private clinic of Assoc.Prof.Dr. After the child was diagnosed with mild malnutrition, the doctor prescribed 6 cans of Bold Milk milk. Believing the doctor, she bought milk at the pharmacy right outside the clinic. When the information about the fake milk line was destroyed, she was panicked to discover that the milk for each child to drink was on the list of unsatisfactory products.
According to the investigation, Associate Professor, Dr. B.S is currently working at a hospital in Hue and has a private pediatric clinic on Nguyen Cong Tru Street (Thuan Hoa District, Hue City).
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters on the morning of April 22, Associate Professor, Dr. B.S said that the prescription is based on nutritional components and uses announced by the manufacturer, and has been licensed for circulation by the competent authority.
"Regarding the actual quality of milk, we cannot know, that is the responsibility of the authorities. In this case, doctors and patients are also victims, Dr. S. shared.
He also said that he prescribed Bold Milk for diarrhea. Meanwhile, the type of milk announced by the authorities as not meeting quality is for pregnant women. However, because they are all products of a company, recalling all products is a must.
The dairy products are announced as fake milk that does not contain toxins, but do not guarantee that they are at least 70% of the advertised ingredients. In cases where this milk has been prescribed, when there are questions, I explain clearly and have a full response, added Dr. S.
