Regarding the reflection of the media, the press on April 27, 2025 on the case of assaulting medical staff while carrying out emergency patient at the emergency unit of Thanh Ba District Medical Center, Phu Tho Province, causing insecurity, order and negative impact on medical examination, treatment, safety of patients and medical staff. This is an "immoral" behavior, society condemns and needs strict handling. The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment proposes the Director of the Department of Health to focus on directing some of the following contents:
Continue to proactively coordinate with local law enforcement agencies to investigate and clarify the incident, and strictly handle it according to the provisions of law.
Strengthen security and order at medical examination and treatment facilities, focus on solutions to prevent and minimize cases of disorder and disorder, including establishing a monitoring system and warning the risk of insecurity and order and implementation of solutions under the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment No. 15/2023/QH15; Implementing the guiding documents of the Ministry of Health on ensuring security, safety and order of medical examination and treatment establishments.

On the morning of April 28, doctors at Thanh Ba Medical Center (Phu Tho province) tried to save the life of a 12-year-old patient despite being pushed and attacked by the patient's family during emergency care.
On the evening of April 25, a 12-year-old patient, a victim of a traffic accident, was transferred to the hospital with a headache, dizziness, and nausea. Through the film, the patient was diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, frostbite, multiple soft tissue wounds, etc., prescribed painkillers, tetanus antitoxin injections and antibiotics.
Immediately after the antibiotic vaccination, children showed signs of anaphylactic shock such as shortness of breath, rapid pulse, low blood pressure, leading to cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest. The hospital immediately activated a red alert and mobilized all human resources for emergency care.
At this time, the family members showed a loss of temper, standing around the hospital bed, constantly screaming, attacking, even beating a doctor. According to the video, the doctor asked the family to go out, but the family kept loudly. When a male nurse goes to get medical equipment to serve emergency care, one person kicks into his stomach.
"However, doctors and nurses still focus on working, no one leaves their positions or reacts back," said the Center representative, adding that the team followed the correct procedures and did not miss the golden time to save patients.
