In the report of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front synthesizing opinions and recommendations from voters and people sent to the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, many issues in the health sector were of concern, especially the issue of fake drugs and food.
Voters and people are concerned about the increase in some infectious diseases such as flu, measles, rabies caused by dog and cat bites... which are at risk of breaking out and spreading, affecting people's health and lives. Voters also reflected that grassroots health care still faces many difficulties in terms of human resources, good medicine, equipment, medical supplies, etc.; there are still cases of people going beyond the medical examination and treatment line and having to bear high costs.
Voters requested the Government, the Ministry of Health, and People's Committees at all levels to strengthen the direction of disease supervision at border gates and domestic outbreaks; deploy free vaccination against influenza and measles, ensure vaccine supply, and at the same time promote effective propaganda and prevention.
Voters also suggested that the health sector continue to pay attention to investing in more equipment and medical supplies and ensuring the number of drugs to meet the increasingly better needs for medical examination, treatment, and health care; supplement the list of health insurance drugs in medical examination and treatment to support people in difficult circumstances and ethnic minorities; overcome the situation where patients have to buy drugs outside the insurance list.
In addition, it is necessary to build more and upgrade hospitals; promote the development of traditional medicine; soon issue laws to control the situation of impersonating "genetic medicine salary" to sell fake drugs everywhere.
Voters and people are worried and upset about the production, purchase, sale, and advertising of counterfeit products that are harmful to health that have lasted for many years and brought huge illegal profits such as: fake milk, fake medicine, fake functional foods, fake medicine, etc. Poor goods, the situation of pesticide residues in agricultural products, the use of banned substances in livestock; products with banned substances (cadmium, O gold) exceeding regulations, making them unable to be exported, affecting the reputation and overall export of the whole country.
Voters proposed the Government, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to tighten the management of food supply chains from production, processing to distribution, especially at slaughter facilities, Unit markets and street food. Propose to increase the fine level and supplement the form of sanctioning for permanent closing the violating establishment; Criminal prosecution for acts of intentionally producing and trading dirty foods has serious consequences. At the same time, strengthening inspection and unexpected inspection, regularly at collective kitchens, roadside shops, industrial parks, school gates - places with high risk of dirty food.
Voters and people hope that the Government will take strict sanctions, handling a case so that it will not only warn one field but many other fields, nationwide. Hopefully, people will no longer have to live in fear of all kinds of "dirty" things: eating dirty food, drinking dirty water, breathing dirty air, using fake medicine, studying with fake textbooks, meeting fake police, fake taxes, fake inspectors...
