After paraclinical examination, the patient was diagnosed with multiple injuries: closed chest injury, closed abdominal injury due to a traffic accident. The patient continued to receive emergency treatment, resuscitation, fluids, and pain relief. At 5:45 p.m. the same day (May 3), the patient was transferred to the National Children's Hospital.

Initially, the patient entered the examination (at 4:03) without any documents. The patient was examined immediately (though not registered for examination and paid), prescribed for paraclinical tests; then the hospital staff instructed the person to register for administrative procedures.
During the examination, indication of paraclinical tests and treatment, the person who brought the patient arrived with an advance payment of 500,000 VND. Hospital staff have performed administrative procedures on the hospital management software system so that patients do not have to pay additional advance payment.
Medical staff discussed with each other to perform administrative procedures for patients. Also according to the report, the provincial General Hospital has taken responsibility for the incident. Initially, the hospital suspended a number of health workers to verify the case.
