The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Plan to implement Directive No. 38/CT-TTg dated October 11, 2024 of the Prime Minister on strengthening food poisoning prevention.
Accordingly, Dong Thap province sets the goal of minimizing the occurrence of mass food poisoning incidents (over 30 people/incident); reducing the rate of acute food poisoning in recorded poisoning incidents each year to less than 5 people/100,000 people; and minimizing the number of deaths due to food poisoning.
Dong Thap will focus on promoting information and propaganda about the risks of food poisoning and food poisoning prevention, especially at tourist sites, school kitchens, industrial parks, and street food; strengthening inspection, examination, and supervision of food safety along the supply chain from farm to table.
In the coming time, Dong Thap province will also resolutely handle and suspend the operations of establishments that do not ensure food safety conditions, establishments that do not have a Certificate of food safety eligibility (subject to issuance); prepare plans, human resources, material resources, and equipment to ensure adequate response to emergency work, timely treatment for people with food poisoning, and best ensure the health and lives of people when food poisoning occurs...
