The Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province has just issued a Decision to reorganize the Provincial General Hospital on the basis of merging specialized hospitals from April 1, 2025.
Regarding location, Yen Bai General Hospital is a public health service unit under the Department of Health of Yen Bai province; subject to the direct management and direction of the Department of Health.
The hospital is under the professional and technical guidance and guidance of the Ministry of Health, has legal status, has its own headquarters, seal and account, and operates in accordance with the provisions of law.
Facility 1 of Yen Bai General Hospital will be expanded to the entire current Yen Bai Provincial Lung Hospital.
Meanwhile, facility 2 uses the facilities of 3 hospitals ( Obstetrics - Pediatrics, Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation, Mental Health) and a clinic, management, health care for staff, and repair to form a common campus.
Yen Bai General Hospital has the function of medical examination and treatment, emergency care, general medicine, specialization, rehabilitation, and patient care for the people; organize and implement medical assessment activities in the province; regular medical examination, management, and health care for staff.
Regarding the organization of the apparatus, the hospital's leadership includes: director and no more than 3 deputy directors. In which, 1 hospital leader is in charge of the expertise of facility 2.
After the merger, the hospital consists of 10 functional departments: Cadre organization; Training - route direction; Administration - administration; Finance - accounting; General plan; Quality management; Nursing; Medical assessment; Medical supplies - equipment; Examination, management, and health care of cadres.
Along with that are 25 specialized departments and 3 centers including: Obstetrics and Pediatrics Center, Traditional Medicine Center - Rehabilitation, Mental Health Center.
The People's Committee of Yen Bai province assigned the directors of 6 hospitals: Obstetrics - Pediatrics, Mental Health, Lung Medicine - Rehabilitation, Endocrinology and the Provincial General Hospital to be responsible for conducting an inventory of finance, assets, records, books, equipment; works, programs, investment projects (if any) and other related contents to hand over to the Provincial General Hospital (new hospital) according to the provisions of law and not affecting the operation of the unit.
The Director of Yen Bai General Hospital (new hospital) is responsible for coordinating with relevant agencies to develop a plan to organize the reception of civil servants and employees; finance, assets, records, books, equipment; works, programs, investment projects (if any)... and other related contents of the 6 hospitals ( Obstetrics - Pediatrics, Mental Health, Lung, Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation, Endocrinology, Provincial General Hospital).
Along with that, it is necessary to inherit and continue to fulfill all rights and obligations of the 6 hospitals before the merger and not affect or interrupt the rights and obligations of the relevant parties that are being implemented.
Before the merger, Yen Bai General Hospital had a Director, Dr. Tran Lan Anh, and 3 Deputy Directors: Dr. Trinh Thi Thu Hoai; Dr. Nguyen Van Cong and Dr. Diem Son. The Director of the Mental Hospital is Dr. Mai Long Son; the Director of the Lung Hospital is Dr. Bach Xuan Thuy; the Director of the Endocrinology Hospital is Dr. Dao Thanh Quyet; the Director of the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital is Tran Van Quang; the Director of the Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation Hospital of Yen Bai province is Dr. Nguyen Van Hung.
