On February 27, a nutrition brand of more than 30 years under the New Zealand-based Fonterra Group signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the FPT Long Chau pharmacy chain.
The signing ceremony took place at the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise event in Ho Chi Minh City, held with a visit by Mr. Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister of New Zealand.
This partnership affirms both countries' commitment to improving access to nutrition and health care for the elderly in Vietnam.
The strategic memorandum of understanding with FPT Long Chau aims to support more accessible nutrition and health care for the elderly in Vietnam. With more than 500 million people worldwide affected by osteoporosis, Asia is witnessing a significant increase in the number of cases.
This cooperation aims to raise awareness of elderly health care, develop specialized nutritional solutions and propose practical initiatives such as bone health assessments and preventive care programs.
With the participation of Prime Minister Luxon, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding highlights the close bilateral relationship between Vietnam and New Zealand, emphasizing the dedication to promoting innovative health care solutions that benefit millions of people.
With a long-term commitment, the two sides will focus on three core points: raising public awareness of elderly health issues; Innovation of products and nutritional solutions to support healthy aging; Practical activities to help consumers proactively take care of their health.
According to the General Department of Population and Family Planning (Ministry of Health), Vietnam is currently one of the countries with the fastest aging rate in the world. Faced with opportunities and challenges from population aging, what needs to be done now is to increase elderly health care so that the elderly can live happily, healthily, and usefully, creating motivation for the elderly to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
