Vinh Long - Provincial General Hospital deploys endoscopy and knee replacement, helping people access quality treatment services right in the locality.

On August 14, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital organized the transfer of endoscopic techniques and knee joint replacement to Vinh Long General Hospital, marking a new step forward in improving the quality of intensive care at provincial hospitals.

The technical transfer team is led by Dr. Tran Quang Son and BSCKI. Nguyen Huu Dat - working at the Department of Orthopedic Trauma Surgery - Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, directly guided and performed techniques on the actual case.

During the working process, experts coordinated: Evaluate treatment instructions, perform endoscopy to reconstruct ligaments and directly guide the team of doctors, helping to expand the capacity to treat musculoskeletal and joint diseases at the provincial level.

According to the leader of Vinh Long General Hospital, many cases of complex knee arthritis have previously had to be transferred, which took time and money. In the coming time, the hospital will continue to receive advanced technology to improve capacity, reduce the workload on the upper level and better serve people.
