Influenza A also has the potential to cause superinfection (otitis media, pus sinusitis), myocarditis, blood infection, fungal infection.

For pregnant women, influenza A will easily lead to serious pneumonia complications and fetal failure, miscarriage, fetal death, premature birth ...

Dr. Cuong emphasized that, although the seasonal flu is often considered a mild disease, but if the following signs appear, the patient needs a medical facility immediately:

· Respiratory failure (fast breathing, shallow breathing, shortness of breath, retractoroma, cyanosis);

· SPO2 decreased below 93% (low blood oxygen saturation index can lead to acute respiratory failure).

In addition, people with background diseases such as bronchial asthma, COPD, diabetes, cardiovascular disease have a higher risk of complications and need special monitoring.

If there are signs of suspected flu, people should proactively take a check-up to detect promptly and apply effective treatment measures.
