On July 18, news from the People's Committee of Trung Khanh Vinh commune said that it had coordinated with the 974th Infantry Regiment directly under the Military Command of Khanh Hoa province to organize many activities towards the people.
At Chu Van An Secondary School, 974th Infantry Regiment donated 2 bookshelves and 600 book titles in many fields such as history, law, life skills, literature and science.
The source of books is expected to contribute to supplementing materials to serve teaching and learning, building reading culture in schools.
At the same time, creating conditions for teachers and students, mostly ethnic minorities, to access more useful knowledge, contributing to improving the quality of education.
On the same day, at the gate area of Chu Van An Secondary School (Hon Lay village), Regiment 974 organized the "0-dong Clothes Booth" model, donating 600 sets of clothes to people in difficult circumstances.
The activity contributes to sharing difficulties with people, spreading the spirit of mutual affection, and at the same time strengthening solidarity and attachment between officers and soldiers and local people.
In this mass mobilization campaign, soldiers also integrated the implementation of Project 1371 on promoting the role of the People's Army in disseminating and educating the law, and mobilizing people to comply with the law at the grassroots level.
The unit coordinated with the People's Committee of Trung Khanh Vinh commune to propagate the provisions of the Law on Military Service, the Law on Road Traffic, drug prevention and control, domestic violence prevention and control, early marriage prevention and control, and consanguineous marriage, along with many legal contents related to the lives of ethnic minorities.
Many people in Trung Khanh Vinh commune expressed their emotion at the practical activities that officers and soldiers of Infantry Regiment 974 brought during the mass mobilization campaign.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - a local resident - assessed that not only giving books, clothes or gifts to support difficult families, the soldiers also spend time propagating laws, exchanging arts and getting close to and listening to the thoughts of the people.
According to local people, these simple but responsible actions have contributed to adding motivation for poor households to rise up, while also helping students have more learning conditions and people improve their legal understanding.
