On July 14, Hue City Border Guard Command said that Vinh Xuan Border Guard Station had just discovered and arrested 2 fishing boats with acts of fishing in the wrong licensed area.
Accordingly, the patrol team of Vinh Xuan Border Guard Station discovered fishing vessel THH-310XX-TS fishing illegally in the Vinh Thanh sea area, Phu Vinh commune, about 1.1 nautical miles from the shore.
The ship is captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Th (residing in Thuan An ward, Hue City).
At about 8:20 am on the same day, the task force continued to discover fishing vessel TH-920XX-TS fishing in the wrong area in Vinh Thanh sea area, about 3.04 nautical miles from the shore.
The ship owner and captain is Mr. Dau Van L (residing in Tuyen Giang commune, Thanh Hoa province). There are 7 crew members on board, all residing in Thanh Hoa province.
Through inspection, both captains admitted to the violations. The Border Guard force requested the ships to stop exploitation activities, and at the same time bring people, vehicles and exhibits to the anchorage area of Border Guard Flotilla 2 for handling.
By 1:10 pm on the same day, the two fishing boats had been brought to a safe anchorage. Currently, Vinh Xuan Border Guard Station is continuing to investigate, verify and handle according to the provisions of law.
