On the morning of March 14, 131 voters in O2 village - constituency No. 1, Vinh Son commune (Gia Lai province) officially voted to elect National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. This is the only polling station in the province to be held 1 day earlier than the general election time of the whole country (March 15). Attending the election were Mr. Ho Xuan Anh - Member of the Provincial Election Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Gia Lai Provincial Newspaper, Radio and Television.

From early morning, in the cold rainy weather of the high mountains, voters were present in large numbers at the polling station to exercise their citizenship rights, directly selecting deputies who are virtuous and talented enough to represent the will and aspirations of the people.

The atmosphere at the polling station was solemn, in accordance with regulations and full of excitement. For the people of O2 village, election day is an opportunity for the entire village to exercise their rights and civic duties, entrusting their trust and expectations to those who represent the people, for the people.

The entire O2 village currently has 57 households with more than 200 people, all of whom are Ba Na ethnic people, including 131 voters. Many voters were moved when the State paid attention to and organized a polling station right in the village. To get the ballots to the people in the isolated area, the election team carried documents, ballot boxes, and supplies, crossing dangerous forests for half a day.

Mr. Dinh Ruon - Head of the Fatherland Front Committee of Village O2 - said that people in the village were very excited on the day of voting, because everyone wanted to choose people with heart and vision to help the country and help the people.

Since yesterday, I have come to see the biographies of the candidates and chosen the person I trust to send my wishes to. I just hope that when elected, the delegates will pay more attention to people in remote and isolated areas, support economic development, and improve their lives, because there are still many difficulties here," Mr. Dinh Ruon shared.

Ms. Dinh Thi Hiep (born 2002) said that from early morning, people in the village put aside farming to go to the polling station. The atmosphere of the election took place solemnly, everyone placed their trust in the delegates they chose.
As a voter in the village, I am very excited to directly vote for the person I trust," Ms. Dinh Thi Hiep expressed.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Dinh Hoai Duc - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Chairman of the Election Committee of Vinh Son commune - said that at exactly 6:30 am on the same day, 131 voters of O2 village performed the flag salute ceremony, then proceeded to vote according to the provisions of law and the plan set out by the Election Committee of the commune.

According to Mr. Duc, because village O2 is an isolated area, transportation is particularly difficult, organizing early voting is a suitable option for the local reality, in order to ensure people's voting rights and facilitate organizational work.

The area of O2 village is far from the center, the roads are dangerous, transporting ballot boxes, documents and arranging forces to serve the election is very difficult, especially in cold rainy weather conditions. However, preparation work has been thoroughly deployed early to ensure that the election day takes place safely, in accordance with the law, and on schedule," Mr. Duc said.

Compared to the total of 131 voters in the list, the Vinh Son Commune Election Commission recorded a voter turnout rate of 100% in O2 village. The voting process took place seriously, democratically, in accordance with regulations and procedures, ensuring safety and completing according to plan.

The completion of early elections in village O2 aims to ensure the legitimate rights of voters in remote and isolated areas; showing the proactiveness and flexibility of local authorities in organizing a large festival for the whole people in a particularly difficult area in the great forest of Gia Lai.

Gia Lai province has more than 2.5 million voters. The locality has identified 2,179 voting areas and established 2,179 election teams to serve the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
