When talking about the movement of building learning families (also known as studious families), we cannot fail to mention Mr. Danh Bach's family, residing in Thanh Hoa 3 Hamlet, Thuy Lieu Commune, Go Quao District (Kien Giang).
The family of Mr. Danh Bach and Mrs. Thi Xuol is famous far and wide for its tradition of studiousness and exemplary in raising children. Mr. Danh Bach shared: Realizing the importance of studying, he and his wife always encourage and create the best conditions for their children's education.
Mr. Bach said that when he and his wife first got married, they were given 5 hectares of rice fields. When their children were born, they worked hard day and night to have money to pay for their education. In addition to farming, they also raised pigs and did business. With their diligence, hard work, and thriftiness, nearly 10 years after getting married, they gradually bought 10 more hectares of rice fields and paid for their children's education and stable jobs.
"I know that education is very important, so no matter how hard it is, I will try my best to ensure that my children have a good education and have stable jobs so that my wife and I can feel secure," Mr. Bach shared.
Currently, all three of his children have stable jobs after graduating. The eldest son studied to be a medical doctor and is currently working at a clinic in Rach Gia City; the second son is a doctor and is currently working at Kien Giang General Hospital, and the youngest daughter also studied to be a medical doctor and is currently working at Binh An Rach Gia Hospital.
Not only taking care of his family, Mr. Danh Bach also contributed and mobilized people in the village to contribute labor and money to build rural roads, and well implement the criteria of households in building advanced new rural areas.
“I mobilized relatives and neighbors in the hamlet to join hands with the local government to repair and pour concrete on roads, clear land, plant green hedges... to help the commune soon complete the criteria in building advanced new rural areas. I think that as people, we need to have a common responsibility with the locality," said Mr. Bach.
For many years, in Go Quao district in general and Thuy Lieu commune in particular, the movement of building learning families has always been paid attention to and focused on. The movement has developed evenly and widely, with more and more families constantly studying and accumulating knowledge to become useful citizens, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
Ms. Danh Thi Kim Nga, Vice Chairman of Thuy Lieu Commune People's Committee, said: "Mr. Danh Bach's family has implemented the criteria of building a studious and cultural family, raising their children to study very well, especially contributing a lot to the construction of new rural areas. In addition, they have also mobilized benefactors to support lonely elderly households in the area by supporting rice, necessities, housing and other social services."
Mr. Bach's family also teaches their children and grandchildren to implement the Party's policies and the State's laws, and encourages neighbors to do the same. His family is a good example for many people to learn from, Ms. Nga added.
