On October 21 (the first day of the 7th lunar month), at the special national relic site of Po Klong Garai Tower (Do Vinh ward), the 2025 Kathe festival officially opened in a sacred atmosphere, bustling with Cham cultural colors.
From early morning, the medical convoy of the "king" po Klong Garai from Po Inu Nugar Temple (Phuoc Huu Commune) approached the ancient tower in the resounding sound of the Ginang drum and Saranai flute.

Leading the group were Cham officials in traditional ceremony costumes, followed by brilliant and graceful Cham girls in a ceremonial dance in the red, yellow, and white typical colors of the Kathe festival.
At the foot of the tower, hundreds of Cham families offer traditional offerings such as figs, boiled chickens, cakes, wine... praying for a year of favorable weather, good crops, and a prosperous life.
After the ceremony, there was a charming Cham dance and a bustling love song performed by Raglai artisans, making the festival atmosphere more vibrant.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Ha - Mr. Nguyen Khac Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province congratulated the Cham community in the province on a joyful and meaningful Kathe season.
Mr. Ha hopes that officials and civil servants will continue to promote their role and prestige to propagate and mobilize people to work together to preserve and promote the unique value of the Kate festival as well as other traditional festivals of the Cham ethnic group.

" all levels, sectors and localities in the province need to take more specific and practical actions to accompany the Cham community in preserving cultural heritage, making the Kate festival worthy of the scale and value of a national intangible cultural heritage", he emphasized.
