On May 20, the Steering Committee for "Military-Civilian Tet" activities of An Giang province organized a conference to summarize the implementation of activities in 2026 and deploy the plan to organize activities in 2027.
In 2026, the Steering Committee for "Military-Civilian Tet" activities of the province effectively coordinated to organize activities in Hoa Dien commune with the theme "An Giang Armed Forces together with the Party Committee, government and people of Hoa Dien commune join hands to build new rural areas" and "Military-Civilian Tet" Chol Chnam Thmay activity in Hon Dat commune with the theme "An Giang army - people celebrate Chol Chnam Thmay 2026".
Notably, Hoa Dien commune has built 48 houses for policy beneficiaries and poor households; built 4 rural traffic bridges; supported high-quality rice cultivation models; presented more than 2,000 gifts to policy families, poor households, militia and self-defense forces, reserve mobilization; awarded 40 scholarships, 20 bicycles to poor students overcoming difficulties; provided medical examinations and free medicine for 1,500 people; implemented the 2.5km long rural road lighting project and many other meaningful activities.

Regarding the "Military-Civilian Tet" activity of Chol Chnam Thmay in Hon Dat commune, the units have built 50 houses, exceeding 125% of the planned target; built 8 rural traffic bridges; presented more than 1,100 gifts; awarded 50 scholarships, 20 bicycles to poor students overcoming difficulties and studying well; built 2 classrooms; provided medical examinations and free medicine for 700 people; implemented many flower roads, rural road lighting projects, supported water tanks and water filtration equipment for people in difficult areas.
The total budget for implementing "Military-Civilian Tet" activities in 2026 at the provincial level is more than 18.4 billion VND; at the commune and ward levels, mobilized and implemented more than 34.2 billion VND, raising the total budget of the whole province to more than 52 billion VND.
Military-Civilian Tet" is a comprehensive mass mobilization activity with profound political, social and humanitarian significance, mobilizing the combined strength of the entire political system, armed forces, businesses and people to join hands in taking care of social security, building new rural areas, and improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Thereby contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc, strengthening the close relationship between the army and the people, and building an increasingly solid "people's heart formation".
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc emphasized that mass mobilization work and "Military-Civilian Tet" activities have important strategic significance in consolidating the close relationship between the Party, State, Army and people. The comrade praised the efforts and responsibility of departments, agencies, branches, armed forces, localities, businesses, banks and philanthropists who have actively accompanied and supported resources to effectively organize "Military-Civilian Tet" activities in 2026.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that in the coming time, agencies and units continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Party's guidelines on mass mobilization work; closely coordinate in implementing social security projects and tasks; effectively mobilize socialized resources to better care for people's lives, especially policy families, poor households, near-poor households and ethnic minorities. At the same time, promote the effectiveness of invested projects, contributing to building new rural areas and consolidating the all-people national defense associated with an increasingly solid people's security posture.

At the conference, the plan for organizing "Military-Civilian Tet" activities in 2027 in Thanh Loc commune will also be deployed from June 19, 2026 to January 29, 2027 and "Military-Civilian Tet" activities in Chol Chnam Thmay commune in 2027 in Go Quao commune from November 13, 2026 to April 9, 2027.
On this occasion, the Steering Committee for "Military-Civilian Tet" activities of the province commended 13 collectives and 18 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing activities.
